Halloween tricks and treats!

Counting and sorting the loot.
Trick or treat?
All dressed up. Matt is a dragon I had made for Connor 5 years ago, Connor is a pumpkin head, Nate a phantom and Micheal a frog, but everyone thought he was a dinosaur.
Cute Jake stayed in on Halloween. Maybe he can go next year when he has teeth! He finally got his first tooth on Oct. 16, while on our trip, and his second came in last week!
Carving Pumpkins the Saturday before Halloween! Connor and Nathan were carving for the next 2 days!
Nate made his own pattern this year. He drew an alien and had John blow it up on the computer.
Connor won a cake while we were at Macey's by standing on one of the numbered pumpkins around the store. I figured our odds were pretty good when there are 15 Pumpkins and we are standing on 6 of them! Go Team Benich!

We did a lot of Trick or Treating this year. It started at Disney World with Mickey's No So Scary Halloween Party. We also did a little at Macey's and finally in our neighborhood Halloween night. We didn't have to buy any candy this year, we just gave out what we got in Florida. The kids all picked their costumes out of the costume bin (all but Nate) and as much as I wanted Michael to be Peter Pan like all the other boys have been, he chose to be a frog. Connor wore my overalls and an old plaid shirt that belonged to my dad to school. Later that night he cut a hole in the bottom of his pumpkin and put it on his head. It was awesome! He sat on the porch giving out treats and a few tricks. He scared a little girl and felt so bad that he took off the pumpkin and gave her extra candy.
The kids got a ton of candy, we gave out almost all of ours and even I had a good time trick or treating with the kids in the nice weather! Michael's favorite part about Halloween was the Handy's pirate themed walk through, and went through it at least 4 times.
The Great Pumpkin came Halloween night and traded all their candy for toys and we are candy free! (Except for the bag of Candy Cane Kisses I bought Nov. 1. I admit it, I'm addicted!)
