Good thing you're so cute!

Jacob is one year 3 weeks old and so busy. He is getting into everything these days. He loves to re-organize the lid cabinet, hit all the hanging tags on out Family Home Evening chart, turn off the TV, Clean out the garbage in the bathrooms, turn on and off the printer, pull quilts from the banister, get stuck under the table, page the phone, forward texts to our entire family, and anything else he can get into.
It's a darn good thing he is so cute!

A new adventure

So I guess life wasn't crazy enough, so I decided to try another "home business". I signed up in October to be a consultant for Thirty-One gifts. The company started back east 8 years ago and has just started to get big in Utah. They have such fun and useful products that after having a party at my home, and using everything I got, I decided it was something that I could back and offer to my friends and family. It has been so fun and I was able to reach my 45 day goal and earn an extra kit for free. I have parties planned for January and February, a few friends that want to sign up and lots of fun with a new catalog and new products coming out next month. I don't know how long the fun will last, but I will take it and enjoy the ride.

Quilt for Steve and Kristen

What an exciting time! My nephew Steven Adams and his wife Kristen are expecting their first baby (My sister Julie's first granddaughter) in March. We have been planning this shower for weeks from different countries and tonight it all came together. I had fun putting this quilt together for them, even though it was a pretty quick process. Jennifer was here for the holidays and helped with the food. The shower was so fun and everything that day was perfect.

Update

Well, we just sang at my in-laws farewell. I messed up big time! We had not had a chance to practice with the piano, so at the part that John and I were to come in, I could not hear the piano and it was awful! The last verse was good, but I felt pretty dumb.
This last week Jacob turned one. I have been reflecting on the last year and especially this time last year. The scariness of the pregnancy. Not knowing what to expect with the delivery. I have thought about the hospital stay and lying in my hospital bed crying, hair sopping wet and in pain. John dropping everything and running to my aid. I remember wanting to stay just one more day at the hospital because I just wasn't ready to come home. I look at our picture from last year and think how big our family looked with all of us piled on the hospital bed. I still look at our picture and think we look so huge.
Jacob is such a sweet baby. I think of what an amazing blessing it is to have him here and love what he brings to our family.
Jakey still has only 2 teeth, he crawls like Michael did on three limbs, and makes the cutest, funny faces. I am so grateful to have him in our family and I am honored to be his Mother.
